I bet you dont know who they are!!

As I previously stated in my last blog I love music especially rap. I don't just listen to English rap but I also listen to Zulu, Sotho, and Xhosa rap. But most of the South African Rap I listen to is mostly in English mixed with a little Zulu ( for those who didn't know, South Africa has 13 official languages but the language most spoken is English). Voted the best Rap squad in 2007 and maintained that title till 2008. One of my all time favorite bilingual rap crew is Skwatta Kamp. I first learned about them at the age of 7 when they came to visit my boarding school. The only reason they came was because the middle and high school students decided to persuade the teachers to use the money for their school trip, to pay Skwatta Kamp to come give a personal concert. In which they did, sadly us younger kids were not allowed to go the concert, but we were aloud to meet them if we had older siblings. Lucky me I did, so I got to meet the main singer which made me fall in love with them instantly. Later on when I was older I started listening to their music. My favorite song even up to today is Umoya. Which means air and their band name is a place where unfortunate people stay. So these to concepts were both meant to say to everybody that no matter how hard the wind or harsh the air always hold on to your dreams, no matter where you are and you will be sure to make it. That is why I love them , for finding a way to put their inspirational words out there even in rap. To all those people especially in need out there.

(I know... they look really cheesy, but never the less their awesome)!!

Btw: I really wanted to post the video, but I would probably get in trouble for using/showing showing a video with bad words in it,so if you want to watch it their best song is called Umoya. You probably wont understand half of it but Enjoy!

I've made up my mind Rap is Officially my all time favorite music genre!

Music is an essential part of every bodies life, some more than others but music is always there to play an important part. If you don't believe me , you can go to the poorest nations/ tribes anywhere in the world and see that music is one of those things that keeps them going. And I think that is absolutely fantastic, because music is one of things that just gives your body a certain feeling ( a little nicer than shopping) weather that soothing sensation comes from rap, hip-hop, RnB(rhythm and blues), soul, rock, heavy-metal, jazz, classical, techno or whatever there's always a connection. For most people if you ask them what their favorite music is they would have a quick and strong answer. Though for me its a different situation. If someone were to ask me, I would not be able to answer, and unlike allot of people I know, I don't like "all types of music". I ABSOLUTELY ADORE RAP, love techno, and like really few calm rock songs, RnB/pop and hip hop songs. I think rap is a legendary genre of music. The thought that is being put behind what is being said is AMAZING, it shows talent and intelligence. But I have to admit there are extremely stupid rap artists that disgrace the name of rap which push away fans rather than pulling them closer. Like two friends of mine who are really into heavy metal, consider rap a utterly useless, talent less, and stupid form of music. That's probably because when they heard their first rap songs they heard Yung Joc's "very special style of rapping", which explains everything. Though if you listen GOOD QUALITY to rap and follow it from its roots; A Tribe Called Quest all the way up to Eminem and Lil Wayne and many more you will eventually see the magnificence of it.

What you want, watch me stand on the world as I sit in a throne
And if I jump I'm going to fly and look into the eagles eye and see I am lookin like you, why?
***** see, it gets me how nothing gets me or get to me,
And if your shootin for the stars then just shoot me,
But your bullets don't reach mars, pause , claws because I'm a beast, I'm a dawg ill get cha,
My picture should be in the dictionary next to the definition of definition,
Because repetition is the father of learning. and son i know your barrel burning but..

Peices of Well Thought out Rap by the worlds number 1 rapper of the 21st century, Eminem
Look, if you had one shot, or one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted in one moment
Would you capture it or just let it slip?
Yo
His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy
There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti
He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready to drop bombs,
but he keeps on forgetting what he wrote down,
the whole crowd goes so loud
He opens his mouth, but the words won't come out
He's choking how, everybody's joking now
The clock's run out, time's up over, bloah!
Snap back to reality, Oh there goes gravity
Oh, there goes Rabbit, he choked
He's so mad, but he won't give up that
Easy, no
He won't have it , he knows his whole back's to these ropes
It don't matter, he's dope
He knows that, but he's broke
He's so stagnant that he knows
When he goes back to his mobile home, that's when it's
Back to the lab again, yo
This whole rhapsody
He better go capture this moment and hope it don't pass him

Shopping!

Recently at school we had a week long holiday in celebration of the start of fall. Even though in Venezuela the weather is mostly mutual all year round, we still get the chance, to a week of freedom. During this week I spent most of my days shopping with mother in New York. I absolutely adored it! But then again mostly because I am a shopaholic (don't tell anyone)! Shopping is one of those things that just set your mind free, reliefs you from all stress, lets you enjoy the power of the results of all your hard work, and just brightens your day! I don't know about you guys but I enjoy that feeling so I do it allot! Even though my parents think it’s an extremely unhealthy obsession, routine, and habit I enjoy every moment of it.
OK, So I confession to make, this might seem a little absurd to you guys but it’s just what I like to do! So just this past week I bought 15 pairs of shoes, from the best shoe shack in the world DSW! I know what you're probably thinking 15 is a large number, and I know it is. But to me that 15 is just the number of times I will be strutting down the emotionally attached runway of life.
