I bet you dont know who they are!!

As I previously stated in my last blog I love music especially rap. I don't just listen to English rap but I also listen to Zulu, Sotho, and Xhosa rap. But most of the South African Rap I listen to is mostly in English mixed with a little Zulu ( for those who didn't know, South Africa has 13 official languages but the language most spoken is English). Voted the best Rap squad in 2007 and maintained that title till 2008. One of my all time favorite bilingual rap crew is Skwatta Kamp. I first learned about them at the age of 7 when they came to visit my boarding school. The only reason they came was because the middle and high school students decided to persuade the teachers to use the money for their school trip, to pay Skwatta Kamp to come give a personal concert. In which they did, sadly us younger kids were not allowed to go the concert, but we were aloud to meet them if we had older siblings. Lucky me I did, so I got to meet the main singer which made me fall in love with them instantly. Later on when I was older I started listening to their music. My favorite song even up to today is Umoya. Which means air and their band name is a place where unfortunate people stay. So these to concepts were both meant to say to everybody that no matter how hard the wind or harsh the air always hold on to your dreams, no matter where you are and you will be sure to make it. That is why I love them , for finding a way to put their inspirational words out there even in rap. To all those people especially in need out there.

(I know... they look really cheesy, but never the less their awesome)!!

Btw: I really wanted to post the video, but I would probably get in trouble for using/showing showing a video with bad words in it,so if you want to watch it their best song is called Umoya. You probably wont understand half of it but Enjoy!
